Why the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce? We moved to Shady Shores in July, 1979 and raised our 3 sons here. Frank got involved with the Chamber in the early 1990’s and Judy, on the periphery at the same time, but more fully in 2005 after she retired from teaching. The members of the Chamber have always been a collection of mutually supportive business owners, various workers, elected officials, and individuals interested in the growth and welfare of our community. The Chamber functions and feels like a big family much of the time! We have always felt that being supportive of the Business—Education—Non-Profit—Community partnership was important and have tried to participate in various ways to help however we could. It has been fun to see new members joining the Chamber to promote their businesses and then stay, to become involved in all of the Chamber and local civic and community activities. Frank’s current local “busyness” includes volunteering for the Lake Cities Food Pantry and the Lake Cities Education Foundation. Judy’s main “thing” locally is the Chamber’s Adopt-A-Teacher program.  We both enjoy spending time with our family, which includes sons, daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren. We were both surprised and felt very honored to be named “Chamber Member(s) of the Month!” Thank you, Chamber, for all that you do for our community!
